I read this verse this morning, and it struck me again. God will never give up on you.
Maybe you were close to God, and He told you to go in a certain direction, but you never did. Let me tell you today, God will never give up, that call of God on your life is still valid today. There is never an expiry date, and the door is always open to go for it!

Romans 11:29

Amplified Bible (AMP)

29For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]

Nothing Impossible

Posted: July 13, 2011 in General

Its funny how we start worrying about silly things! When will we really start to believe that nothing is impossible!

Luke 1:37

Amplified Bible (AMP)

37For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.
And when are we going to realize that God, the Almighty, in all His Glory and strength is FOR US! Not against us or for someone else, but for US!

Not Impossible

Romans 8:31-32

Amplified Bible (AMP)

31What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?]

32He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?

Word of the day!

Posted: July 6, 2011 in Word of the day

The world of words are so interesting, check this one!

What do you think catarrh means?  (Word’s spell check even knows this)

Here is a hint. Many people suffer from this in the winter!

Inflammation of a mucous membrane, especially of the respiratory tract, accompanied by excessive secretions.

I challenge you to use this word in a conversation this week! I bet it will get some attention!

So this is just a follow on for the previous post ” Who do you believe?” Have a quick read if you haven’t read it yet.

Here is just a another verse, a statement by Jesus.

Mark 9:17 – 23
They brought a boy with a dumb spirit in him, that caused him to have convulsions, and even falling in the fire sometimes! So this father of the boy pleaded and said to Jesus if he could do anything to please have pity?(Notice asking IF HE COULD?)

Look at Jesus’ response:
Mark 9:23 Amplified Bible (AMP)
23And Jesus said, [You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes!

I get this sense that Jesus was almost annoyed, and almost like he was saying how the heck can you ask me “If I can do anything?”  Of course I can do something, I can do ANYTHING, and not just that, ALL things are possible to him who believes, not just me, but to anyone who believes!  If You believe God and His word today, All things are possible! Done and Done, what more do you need to know!

So following on the previous post I ask again, Who do you believe? The world with all the Bad news, or the Word of God?
Please share your thoughts with me by leaving a comment! Just click the bubble at the top right of the post!

Have an awesome week!

Who do you believe?

Posted: June 30, 2011 in General

Was thinking after the weekend a little about who we really believe? When I ask this question the options are; 1 – Newspapers/ News or 2 – The Bible. Because you know what, you cannot believe in both. Jesus said you cannot serve two masters? Matthew 6:24. So who will you allow to shape and run your life? Will the news of the day influence and shape your life and how you act or what you do, or will the word and promises of God shape your life?

Let me explain my thinking. If the news tells you that petrol price goes up, and Rates go up, do you start worrying and thinking how you are going to make ends meet the next month?
Or you see in the news about murders and hi- jacking, and decide no you wont go out of your house because you are to scared something might happen to you?

Who do you trust then?

Well, I started complaining this morning again when I heard that the electricity rates are going up and water and refuse removal rates, but then I realized something. Am I now trusting the newspapers above the word of God? Yes, that’s what I’m doing then. So who is shaping my life? Is it really God or am I allowing the news of the world to shape what I’m doing and how I am reacting?

Rather let us fill our hearts and minds with the promises of God!! What could be more sure! That is definitely more reliable information than what is in the news! Yes there are things happening in the world, but it does not and CANNOT change any of the promises of God! God’s Kingdom is forever!
Here are some Examples for you to go read!

  1. 1 Timothy 6:17 – GOD PROVIDES!
  2. Psalm 91 – GOD PROTECTS US!
  3. Isaiah 40:31 – GOD GIVES US STRENGTH
  4. Philippians 4:13 – I Can Do ALL THINGS Through Christ!

The promises are endless! So tell me, who are you going to believe? The News or the Word of God, because you can’t believe both?
