Water or Wine?

Posted: November 13, 2009 in Uncategorized

This morning I was reading a piece in the book of John, and there I read the well known story where Jesus went to a wedding. We all know the story, but if you want to read check out John 2. If you recall there were 6 water pots, and Jesus turned the water into wine, and not just any wine, the best wine!
Then skip to the next chapter, John 3. A guy named Nicodemus (Nic for short) comes along. and chats to Jesus.
“Whats up J!”; “Hey Nic, whats happening?”; “Alls good, Hey J you must be from God, just look at all the cool stuff you do!”
So Jesus says, “Its all good Nicci boy, but you gotta be born again!”. Born of  water, and born of spirit.

Right then skip ahead some more, a lot more actually, 2 Corinthians 4: 6-7. We posses this precious treasure in ………….. wait for it………Vessels of earth. In other words we are water pots!!Why water pots? Because like Jesus said we are born of water! The thing is what are you carrying now? Still only water, or have you let Jesus change you like what he told Nicci boy! Are you carrying water or wine?

I want to carry the wine, thats for sure! The best wine, in this earthen vessel, for others to enjoy!

The wine is the best, and He fills us to the brim, we just need to allow Him.

  2. Johann says:

Nice blog!!! Good message! i will be back here!

  3. Paulien says:

Indescribable…Makes me want to leave everything I do right now and go and sit at Jesus’ feet. If we are filled with the best wine, we can share the best with everyone.
God, you bring a joyful tear to my eye.
