I read this verse this morning, and it struck me again. God will never give up on you.
Maybe you were close to God, and He told you to go in a certain direction, but you never did. Let me tell you today, God will never give up, that call of God on your life is still valid today. There is never an expiry date, and the door is always open to go for it!

Romans 11:29

Amplified Bible (AMP)

29For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]

So this is just a follow on for the previous post ” Who do you believe?” Have a quick read if you haven’t read it yet.

Here is just a another verse, a statement by Jesus.

Mark 9:17 – 23
They brought a boy with a dumb spirit in him, that caused him to have convulsions, and even falling in the fire sometimes! So this father of the boy pleaded and said to Jesus if he could do anything to please have pity?(Notice asking IF HE COULD?)

Look at Jesus’ response:
Mark 9:23 Amplified Bible (AMP)
23And Jesus said, [You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes!

I get this sense that Jesus was almost annoyed, and almost like he was saying how the heck can you ask me “If I can do anything?”  Of course I can do something, I can do ANYTHING, and not just that, ALL things are possible to him who believes, not just me, but to anyone who believes!  If You believe God and His word today, All things are possible! Done and Done, what more do you need to know!

So following on the previous post I ask again, Who do you believe? The world with all the Bad news, or the Word of God?

Calm in the storm

I read Pslam 46 this morning. How awesome is it just to know that God, the creator of all things, is our refuge and our strength.

Although there honestly is a lot that I can worry about or stress about, I just have this absolute confidence in me, that God will provide. That God will never let us go. This was just confirmed again in the Psalm I read this morning.

I pray also, that God’s peace will be yours today, and every day!

Have an awesome Friday and even better weekend!

Don’t Fuss!

I love reading all the different translations of the bible. Sometimes it just gives you such cool perspective on the content.

The Message translation is a favorite one since the language is just a bit more real in our current life and times. (Well thats my opinion of it)  Read this piece this morning, hope you enjoy it.

Luke 12:22-34 (The Message)

Steep Yourself in God-Reality

22-24He continued this subject with his disciples. “Don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or if the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your inner life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the ravens, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, carefree in the care of God. And you count far more.25-28“Has anyone by fussing before the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? If fussing can’t even do that, why fuss at all? Walk into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They don’t fuss with their appearance—but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them. If God gives such attention to the wildflowers, most of them never even seen, don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?

29-32“What I’m trying to do here is get you to relax, not be so preoccupied with getting so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep yourself in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Don’t be afraid of missing out. You’re my dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself.

33-34“Be generous. Give to the poor. Get yourselves a bank that can’t go bankrupt, a bank in heaven far from bankrobbers, safe from embezzlers, a bank you can bank on. It’s obvious, isn’t it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.

1BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, to be envied) is he who considers the weak and the poor; the Lord will deliver him in the time of evil and trouble.

2The Lord will protect him and keep him alive; he shall be called blessed in the land; and You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

3The Lord will sustain, refresh, and strengthen him on his bed of languishing; all his bed You [O Lord] will turn, change, and transform in his illness.

Verse for today
